Process

How a job runs

  1. Send the job

Store, date, drawings or the VM guide.

  2. Written quote

A fixed price with a job reference, normally within one working day.

  3. We install

On the agreed night, with the crew size in the quote.

  4. Photo report

Photos against your guide before the store opens.

The night

What actually happens after closing.

Most people never see retail installation, because it happens while the city sleeps. A typical night looks like this.

At closing time, the crew lead meets the store manager or the night guard and takes over the store. The alarm and access arrangements were confirmed the day before, so nobody waits outside. The van is parked legally close to the entrance, and the kit is brought in on trolleys, with floors protected where heavy items move.

The old campaign comes out first. It is packed and labelled for return, stored with us, or sorted for recycling. The space is cleaned, and the new scheme is built in the order the guide gives. Around the middle of the night, the crew lead walks through the guide page by page and compares it with what has been built.

Before the store opens, the windows are cleaned, the lights are focused, packaging is gone and the floor is clean. Photos go to your project manager. The store is locked, the alarm set, and the crew leaves. When the first customer walks past, the new campaign is simply there.

Who we work with

Brands, agencies and centres.

International retail brands

Fashion, footwear, beauty and lifestyle brands with stores in Denmark, managed from a head office abroad or from a small Danish team. We are their local crew for campaigns, resets and repairs.

Shopfitters and visual merchandising agencies

Companies that design and produce retail environments across Europe and need a reliable installation partner in Denmark. We work to their drawings and report to their project managers.

Shopping centres and landlords

Centres and property owners that need units cleared, pop-ups built or common-area installations done to a fixed date and to house rules.

Why RetailOps

What makes the difference on the night.

Retail installation is judged at opening time. Either the window is perfect and the store is clean, or it is not. Everything we do is designed to make the first answer the normal one.

  • Planned backwards from opening. We start with the time the store opens and plan the night from there, with a buffer.
  • The guide is the standard. We work from your drawings and VM guide, and we ask before we improvise.
  • Our own crew and vans. No last-minute subcontractors, no dependency on someone else's van.
  • Photos before opening. Your team sees the result before the first customer does.
Where we work

Copenhagen, and every Danish city.

Most of our installs are in Copenhagen: Strøget, Amagertorv, Købmagergade, the department stores and the big centres. We also work in Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and across Denmark, planning stores outside the capital as routes so travel is shared.

Our office and warehouse in Albertslund, around 20 minutes from central Copenhagen, receive and store kits and fixtures until install day.

Our standard

What "done" means to us.

A job is not done when the last element is in place. It is done when the store could open with a camera crew outside. Before any crew leaves a store, the crew lead checks:

  • The guide. Every page of the visual merchandising guide or drawing compared with what was built.
  • Alignment. Graphics straight, elements level, spacing as drawn.
  • Light. Spotlights focused on the hero product, no shadows across the graphics.
  • Glass. Windows cleaned inside, no fingerprints, no tape.
  • Floor. No packaging, no screws, no dust. Floor protection removed.
  • Security. Doors locked, alarm set, keys returned as agreed.
  • Photos. The report taken and sent to your project manager.
Planning ahead

The best time to book is early.

Retail calendars are busy at the same times for everyone: the start of each season, Black Friday, Christmas and the January sales. Those are also the weeks when every installer in Copenhagen is booked.

If you know your campaign dates, send them to us early, even before you have drawings. We reserve the crew and the nights, and fill in the details when the guide is ready. That way, your Danish stores are installed on the same night as the rest of Europe, not a week later.

Emergencies

When something goes wrong today.

Windows are built with care, but things still happen: a hanging element falls, a customer breaks a prop, a light box goes dark, a fixture is damaged by a delivery.

Call us on +45 93 84 13 33. We tell you straight away when a crew can be there, fix it safely, and send photos when it is done. For framework clients, emergency jobs are priced at agreed rates, so there is no waiting for approval.

For head office

Managing Denmark from abroad.

Most of the brands we work for manage their Danish stores from another country. The visual merchandising team sits in Barcelona, Stockholm, Amsterdam or London, and Denmark is one market among many.

That distance creates the same questions every campaign: Will the window be ready on the launch day? Will it look like the guide? Who do we call at night if something is missing? How do we know it was done properly?

We answer those questions before you have to ask them. You get a written quote with the date and the scope, a confirmation when the kit has arrived, a named crew lead on the night, and photos before the store opens. Denmark becomes the market you do not have to worry about.

For store managers

Less disruption in your store.

Store teams are busy enough without contractors in the way. We work outside opening hours, agree the start and finish times in advance, protect the floor and the stock, and leave the store cleaner than we found it.

Store managers receive a short message the day before with the crew lead's name and the planned times, and a short message when the job is done. If the store team wants to see the result before opening, the photos are shared with them as well.

Getting a quote

Simple to start.

Send us the store, the date and what needs doing through the request form. It takes about three minutes. We reply with a fixed written quote and a job reference, normally within one working day. For an emergency, call +45 93 84 13 33.

There is no public price list, because every store and every scheme is different. What you get instead is a price for your actual job, with the scope, the crew size and the working time written down before anything starts.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do you have a price list?

No. Every store and scheme is different, so every job gets a fixed written quote, normally within one working day.

Do you work at night?

Yes. Most of our work happens after closing, before opening or on Sundays.

Do you work outside Copenhagen?

Yes, across Denmark. Stores outside the capital are planned as routes to share travel.

Can you receive our kit from abroad?

Yes. Kits can be delivered to our warehouse in Albertslund, checked and stored until install day.

Who will we talk to?

One contact for planning and a crew lead on the night, both in English or Danish.
