Fixture installation
We assemble and install retail fixtures to your drawings: levelled, aligned and fixed safely, so the store looks the way the designers intended.

Fixtures that look the way they were drawn.
Good fixtures installed badly look cheap. The difference is in the levelling, the alignment and the fixing.
Shop fixtures are expensive and they are made to tight tolerances. Wall systems have to be straight across the whole wall, gondolas have to line up down the aisle, tables have to sit level on an uneven floor, and cash desks have to be fixed so they never move. When that is done properly, nobody notices. When it is not, everyone does.
RetailOps Denmark assembles and installs retail fixtures for brands, shopfitters and store design agencies across Denmark. We work from your drawings and the manufacturer's instructions, and we use the right fixings for the walls and floors we find on site.
What we install.
- Wall systems. Slatwall, panel systems, rails, shelving and bay systems, aligned across the full wall.
- Gondolas and mid-floor units. Assembled, positioned to the plan and levelled.
- Display tables and plinths. Assembled, levelled and placed to the layout.
- Cash desks and counters. Assembled, fixed and prepared for your IT and electrical installers.
- Shop-in-shops and concessions. Branded fixtures built inside department stores and centres.
- Fitting rooms. Mirrors, hooks, benches and curtains.
- Packaging away. All cartons, foam and wrapping removed and recycled.
- Snag list. A list of anything missing or damaged, with photos, before we leave.
From delivery to the finished floor.
- Delivery. Fixtures arrive at the store or at our warehouse in Albertslund. If they come to us, we check them against the delivery note and store them until install day.
- Set-out. We mark the layout on the floor and walls from your drawings before anything is fixed, so mistakes are found on paper, not in plasterboard.
- Assembly. Fixtures are assembled to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fixing. Wall systems and tall units are fixed with fixings suited to the surface: concrete, brick, plasterboard or glass. Work on electrical installations is done by an authorised electrician.
- Levelling and alignment. Everything is checked with levels and lines, not by eye.
- Clean-up and photos. Packaging is taken away, the floor is cleaned, and you receive photos and a snag list.
Information that saves a day on site.
- Layout drawings with dimensions, and elevations for wall systems
- The fixture list or delivery notes
- Installation manuals from the manufacturer, if you have them
- Wall and floor types, if known, and any restrictions from the landlord
- Opening date and the time window for installation
- Who receives deliveries if they go to the store
If the fixtures are produced abroad, send the expected delivery date. We can receive them in our warehouse and hold them until the store is ready.
Fit-outs and openings.
For a new store, fixtures are usually the last big step before opening, after the builders, the electrician and the flooring. That makes the time tight. We plan our install around the other trades and agree with your project manager when the space is ready for us.
If the opening date moves, as it often does, we move with it. Fixtures can stay in our warehouse until the store is ready, so you do not have to find storage in a building site.
Your fixtures, our hands.
Many of the fixtures we install are designed and produced by shopfitting companies abroad. For them, we are the local installation team in Denmark: we receive the fixtures, install them to their drawings and send their project manager the photos and the snag list.
We work under your name on site if you prefer, follow your method statements, and sign your confidentiality agreement before we start.
Fixed properly, insured properly.
Tall fixtures and wall systems must not tip or come off the wall. We fix them with the correct anchors for the surface and check them before they are loaded with product.
We are insured with If Skadeforsikring, and we report any damage to fixtures or the building at once, with photos.
What we find behind the drawings.
Danish retail buildings range from listed nineteenth-century houses on Strøget to new concrete shopping centres. The walls behind the drawings are just as varied: solid brick, concrete, lightweight concrete, plasterboard on steel studs, plasterboard on wood, and glass partitions.
Each needs a different fixing. A wall system that is perfectly safe on concrete can pull out of plasterboard if it is fixed the same way. Before we fix anything, we check what the wall is made of and choose anchors suited to the surface and the load.
Floors matter too. Old buildings rarely have level floors, and a long run of tables or gondolas will show every slope. We level fixtures individually with adjustable feet or shims, so the run looks straight from the entrance.
If your drawings or the landlord set limits on drilling, for example in listed buildings or on new floors, tell us before the install and we plan around them.
Mistakes we prevent.
- Installing before the space is ready. Fixtures installed on wet floors or before the electrician has finished get damaged or moved twice. We confirm readiness before we start.
- Skipping the set-out. Marking the layout first takes an hour and saves a day of moving fixtures.
- Assuming the delivery is complete. We check every delivery against the list before install day.
- Fixing by eye. Every run is checked with a level and a line.
Typical fixture jobs.
New store opening
A brand opens a new store in Copenhagen. Fixtures produced in Portugal arrive at our warehouse two weeks before the builders hand over the space. We hold them, check them against the delivery note, and install the full store in two days once the floor is ready. The snag list goes to the shopfitter the same evening, so missing parts can be shipped before opening.
Wall system rollout
A beauty brand replaces wall bays in three stores. We install one store per night, after closing, with the old bays dismantled and taken away the same night. Every store gets photos and a short report.
Shop-in-shop inside a department store
A brand builds a branded area inside a department store. We follow the store's rules for access and noise, build the fixtures to the drawings, and hand the area over to the brand's visual merchandisers the next morning.
From order to installed fixtures.
- When the fixtures are ordered. Send us the drawings and the expected delivery date, so we can reserve the crew and check the drawings early.
- Delivery. Fixtures arrive at our warehouse or at the store. We check them and report damage or missing parts at once.
- Before installation. We confirm that the space is ready: floors finished, walls painted, electrical points in place.
- Installation. Fixtures are set out, assembled, fixed and levelled.
- Handover. Photos and a snag list go to your project manager, and any open points are agreed.
When something needs adjusting.
Fixtures settle, shelves get overloaded and doors loosen with daily use. If something needs adjusting after installation, we come back. For multi-store clients, small repairs and adjustments can be combined with the next visit, so the store does not need a separate call-out.
Why brands choose us for fixtures.
There are larger contractors in Denmark, and there are cheaper ones. Brands and agencies choose RetailOps Denmark for fixture installation because of how the work is run:
- Our own crew. The people on your job work for us, not for a subcontractor we found the day before.
- Our own vans and warehouse. Kits, fixtures and materials can be received, stored and delivered by us, from Albertslund, so nothing depends on a third party on the night.
- Written scope. Every job has a written quote with the scope, the crew size and the time window. What is in the quote is what happens on site.
- English on site. Your project manager can talk to the crew lead directly in English, at any hour of the night.
- Photos as proof. Every job ends with photos, so you can sign off without travelling to Denmark.
- One company behind it. RetailOps Denmark is a business unit of Get It All Service ApS, CVR 36730595, with an office and warehouse in Albertslund and insurance with If Skadeforsikring.
What decides the price.
- The number and type of fixtures, and how much assembly they need
- Wall fixing: how many metres of wall system, and on what surface
- Whether fixtures are delivered to the store or received in our warehouse
- Working time: daytime in a closed store, or overnight in a trading store
- The number of stores, if fixtures are rolled out across Denmark
You get a fixed written quote with a job reference, normally within one working day.
